As a stakeholder of Vertemax we wanted to share some very important news with you. Building on our success in recent years and having developed a strong reputation for high quality product and service delivery in the marketplace we have experienced additional growth into new sectors. Together with geographical expansion, which has recently seen us open new premises in Canada and Slovakia, we are being met with ever greater demands for further innovation.

We are excited to share with you the news that we have joined the Midway Holding Group, based in Malmö, Sweden. Midway are the owner of HAKI Scaffolding, the leading Swedish system scaffolding producer focusing on the complex segments in Scandinavia and the UK.

“We have been in contact with Vertemax for a long time and it is very satisfying that we have been able to reach an agreement under the current circumstances” said Thomas Schüller, HAKI’s CEO. Vertemax has a strong product portfolio that fits well into the global trends in the form of stricter legislation on occupational safety and meets the increased demand for fall protection and protective screens. “We see excellent opportunities for synergies between Vertemax and HAKI, including developing our common markets together and jointly utilising our logistical capabilities. In the long-term, the acquisition creates opportunities for us to participate in consolidating a fragmented niche market” said Thomas Schüller.

This acquisition also strengthens the opportunities for organic growth by being able to offer Vertemax’s products to HAKI’s customers in Scandinavia, and HAKI’s products to Vertemax’s customers in the UK. As well as Eastern Europe, by marketing our offerings.

The strategies of HAKI and Vertemax are well aligned, and we will maintain the same, exceptional level of product and service delivery expected of us. We will bring further value to these relationships through increased focus on innovation, greater collaboration and investment to deliver outstanding solutions that will reach workzones across multiple sectors internationally to provide greater workzone safety and protection for all.

The founders of Vertemax, John Hardy and Gary Taylor, have both accepted senior management positions, and there will not be any immediate changes.
